If you have a house, barn, windmill, industrial building, or any building in Norfolk that you would like to know more about, let us know. Our members have a wide range of interests and the more buildings we can survey the more we will learn about our counties history. You will receive, within two months of the final recording session, a copy of any floorplans and drawings that are made, accompanied by an interpretation of the building in a written report. The recording process will normally take a day to complete, and is non-invasive to the building fabric. It consists of detailed internal and external measurements, possibly including photographs of specific features.

Our members are insured whilst on your property, and no information will be released to any other organisation, commercial or otherwise, without the express written consent of the owner of the building in question. Copies of all drawings, measurements, interpretations and written reports will normally be archived in the County Sites & Monuments Record, except where the owner has requested otherwise. General information may be used for Countywide statistical purposes. (e.g. floorplan type, overall size, date of construction, dateable features etc.).
